Q: Why can't I just use paper and/or plastic?
A: You can. But you know in your heart that it just isn`t right. Forbes.com will tell you that a bill before the General Assembly would prohibit retailers from using or distributing non-biodegradable plastic bags on or after Jan. 1, 2010. Not only that, but most (if not all) major cities around the globe will eventually ban all plastic bags in grocery stores. San Francisco has already caught on; plastic bags are banned in pharmacies as well as major grocery store chains. Let`s be honest, it is REALLY bad for the environment. And we all know it. (close)
Q: How is its-laS-tik Green?
A: its-laS-tik bags allow you, the consumer, to support a Green lifestyle in 3 ways:
1.They REDUCE the need for paper and plastic by,
2.REUSING the same bag time and time again.
3.And we give you the opportunity to RECYCLE your old bags once you are through with them, giving them a second life.

Q: What are they made of?
A: its-laS-tik bags are made of stretchy, flexible nylon and lycra blend in highly fashionable prints. Let`s face it, colorless, lifeless fabric isn`t exactly fashionable. Liven it up with its-laS-tik, your only source for Green AND Glitzy! (close)
Q: Where are they made?
A: We would like to first tell you where they are NOT made, CHINA. its-laS-tik bags are ALWAYS going to be made in the USA. Presently, they are made in a factory in New Orleans, Louisiana. (close)
Q: But why New Orleans?
A: We are SO glad you asked. Founder and designer, Sue Princiotto, knew that if she was going to make something, it was going to be made in the USA. And is there a better place to create work and give back? We DON`T think so. New Orleans, the Crescent City, NOLA, the birthplace of jazz (and REALLY good food)... who wouldn`t want to give back to this city? Clearly you do, which is probably one of the reasons you are here. (close)
Q: How big are they?
A: The Medium (grocery) bag is 12 x 13 inches with 1.5 x 16 inch handles, the Large bag is 15 x 16 inches with 1.5 x 14 inch handles, the Backpack is 14 x 18 inches with cord straps and the Pouch is 5 x 9 inches with a wristlet. (close)
Q: How much does one bag hold?
A: As a general rule of thumb, its-laS-tik bags can hold twice what you carry in a normal plastic grocery bag. However, it really all depends on your packing style and what you`re carrying. its-laS-tik bags are made to hold anything and everything. Big, small, heavy, light. . . they move with you and bounce, making it feel like you aren`t really carrying much at all. Plus, they can carry all shapes and sizes because they stretch to fit your items. (close)
Q: What else can I use them for?
A: You can use them for absolutely anything you can or want to put in a bag. For instance: carry your gym clothes, laundry, knitting or baby toys. Bring it to the store when you shop for groceries, toiletries, books or even a Home Depot trip (and we know how heavy those bags can get). Carry your high-heeled shoes and lunch to the office, take it to the beach or on a picnic. Use the pouch to carry three bags to the grocery store, or as a makeup bag, jewelry pouch or clutch for a night out on the town. its-laS-tik can go anywhere and carry anything! (close)
Q: Where can I buy them?
A: Well right here of course! But other than online, you can pick them up at Whole Foods (Louisiana, and hopefully across the country soon), Miles Kimball catalog, Solutions Catalog and coming soon, Target Red Hot Shop. (close)
Q: How do I clean it?
A: Simple. Machine wash and hang dry. (close)

Q: Do men use them?
A: If they care about helping the environment they do! And even if they don`t, eventually they`ll have to use something! We even created a Man-Bag line, since our husbands got sick of carrying silver and gold (they`re such good sports). Black, brown and olive are VERY masculine. (close)
